Great to see us in the vanguard for this type of initiative; and how timely too

Hope to see some feedback from club representatives in attendance in London

Having signed up to the Fair Game email updates, i've received the following this morning (n.b. the links in the email haven't copied over):

{Note to mods - don't think this'd contravene any copyright laws since anyone can sign up to their email, but if it does, please feel free to delete this post}

"Huge thank you to the many many people that helped make yesterday's launch event a success. To the clubs that have all come together, to the experts that developed and worked so hard on the solutions, to the media teams - both of Fair Game and our clubs, to our wonderful directors and support team, to our ambassadors, to the support at the event from Keystone and Eilor and to our supporters everywhere - THANK YOU!

Our official press release on the launch with quotes from most of our clubs can be viewed here.

Undoubtedly one of the highlights was the unequivocal support from the Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham. You can watch his eight-minute endorsement here. If you would like to watch the whole event, you can on YouTube.

Our media team were also super busy and we have an array of images and videos available for use. The videos still need to be trimmed, but we wanted to make the raw footage available as soon as possible.

The full manifesto is now up on our website here.

Here are some of the other highlights:
National media coverage: Independent, Sky Sports and a brilliant piece in Football 365
Notable regional coverage: Standard, Cambridge News, Shropshire Star, Manchester World, Football London, News & Star, The Northern Echo, The Surrey Comet, Worcester News, Runcorn and Widnes News and even north of the border in Scotland with The National.
We conducted radio interviews with numerous stations and will be on BBC South as a special feature on Sunday morning
And of course there were news stories on nearly all of our club websites
Representations from the Sheffield Group - including a ringing endorsement - The Beautiful Game group led by David Bernstein and Gary Neville, and the presence of the Football Supporters Association.
Our following on Twitter increased by over 40% in 24 hours
There were also notable interactions from Sega - asking to get involved - and backing from the Conservative MP for Tonbridge Tom Tugendhat
If you are aware of any bits of coverage not listed above or any other notable interactions from politicians, representatives of non-Fair Game clubs or celebrities then please do get in touch.

And finally a huge thanks to our sponsors Jarrovian Wealth, Cherry Red Records, Campbell Tickell, Luton Town Supporters Trust and the Dons Trust for making the event happen.

If you want to sponsor Fair Game then do please get in touch.

Volunteers urgently needed!

This is where we really need your help. We urgently need a new volunteer director of comms AND a new volunteer director of sales and marketing. Please do all you can to reach out to your networks to help us recruit the right people for these key roles. Both are absolutely essential. Full details of the roles, including a role spec, can be found here.

New support

The week, however, has not just been about the launch. We are delighted to welcome a range of new supporters.

Three new ambassadors:
Dion Dublin, TV personality and former England striker
Brian Deane, former England striker and Sheffield United and Leeds legend
Adrian Goldberg, the acclaimed investigative journalist and broadcaster
Three new clubs
Bath City from National League South
Gateshead from National League North
Rochdale AFC from League Two
If you have strong connections with any new clubs or high-profile individuals that might want to back Fair Game we would love you to get in touch with us.

What next?

While the blood, sweat and tears that went into creating the manifesto has been nothing short of amazing. We do need to prepare for the next stage.

This week we also had some great meetings with politicians, notably Bolton MP Mark Logan and Damian Green, who sits on the DCMS Select Committee. If we are to achieve our aims then political support is vital.

We are now going through the document forensically to analyse what needs primary or secondary legislation, what can be introduced straight away and what may require minor tweaks of existing laws and protocols. Our aim is to create robust and achievable actions that deliver the vision we mapped out yesterday. If you have the skills to help in that work please get in touch.

The next big moment on the calendar will be the launch of Tracey Crouch's final report into football governance we expect that to happen at the end of October.

Helping Her Game Too

All the shirts at the launch were signed by representatives of the clubs that were present and we are hoping to add a few more high-profile signatures to them in the next week or so.

We then plan to auction them all off on ebay with the funds raised being split three ways. One third to the club concerned for their community work, one third to Fair Game, and the final third to Her Game Too.

Her Game Too are partners of Fair Game and are doing a fantastic job in tackling discrimination against women and girls at football.

Promotion

Fair Game survives on its profile and we would encourage you all to promote and retweet us wherever possible.

If you would like something visual, we have also been busy working on an ad, which we have now completed. And can be used in club programmes, websites, blogs, magazines and so on. You can download it here. If you would like the ad to be personalised for you do please get in touch with our head of marketing Jonny Kerr.

In the coming days we will also be launching our own merchandising range to help raise the vital funds we need to keep going.

In The Wider Interests Podcasts

Episode 5 with the brilliant Phillipe Auclair, the England Correspondent for France Football, and New York Times reporter and author of Football's secret Trade Tariq Panja, should be live soon.

And we are now planning our next episode with our new ambassadors.

All our podcasts are hosted by Kevin Borras
