And yet some people were given a very hard time for pointing this out while it was happening.

Foolishly I thought the contract extension might have been a contract re-negotiation that would have suited the clubs finances during Covid and given the former manager the stability of a two rather than one year contract.
Regarding events on the pitch I'm ashamed to say I bought into the whole lack of pressure will lead to players feeling more confident and ergo lead to the desired results.
