While we might not all have worded it like that, you can see the point. We’re starting one of our ‘youth team’ the rest are players in and around the first team including some loanees. It’s no different to a reserve game of old, except it’s against Blackburn’s u21s rather than their reserves.
It’s a stupid idea for a competition and the club shouldn’t have entered it. But as we have there’s no criticism for anyone attending from me, but can definitely understand the annoyance at why such a game is taking place. |  |

People are entitled to say why they disagree with it. If not, it’ll be seen as acceptable as a competition.
One of my main gripes is that we are risking setting a new low for an attendance for a competitive first team fixture. That’s an unwanted and unnecessary ‘record’. | |

Yeah and they’re giving out tickets to schools and community groups which is a good idea. That should see a better crowd with it also being United.
The Wolves one in the first week in January could see half as many as tonight unless that’s free, with a pie and a 20 minute sub appearance for everyone who brings boots. | |

2 quid in a bit of footy and a few goals. Fringe players and new guys getting some minutes. Quite enjoyed it. Low key. We've a big squad, so I think good to put players out that aren't getting many minutes.
