Good signing by all accounts, and certainly adds more depth which let us down a lot last season. It is, however, a sad indictment of where Morecambe are at present. A senior player, with a confirmed contract extension for a year, being allowed to leave. Hopefully their situation is resolved soon.

Do they have a decent no.9, asking for a friend.

Hope this signing isn’t a replacement for beckwith, both left sided defenders

If Beckwith gets a better offer and he leaves then good luck to him, we need players who are 100% committed to the Club, hopefully he is because he's quality. Listening to David's interview i think we've landed a good player, he sounds like a belting fella and importantly he describes his playing style as a robust defender. I interpererate robust as meaning 'a bit of a dirty barsteward who won't take any sh*t', we've been short of those type of players for a while. A nice team on the eye but easily bullied out of games.
I like the work we are doing in the transfer market again, it continues the theme of good recruitment during the close seasons since McNulty was appointed. Working with MRKT has been a bit of a masterstroke and i think Simon Gauge originally oversaw that so credit to him for facilitating it. Down to McNulty now to make us into a winning machine.

McNulty seems to be (hopefully) aiming to have cover for each position, with Tutonda possibly being cover for Beckwith (if we don't sell him) and Moss being cover for Gordon.

If this is the case, I can see Armstrong going out on loan again, hopefully the board will seek to hold onto Beckwith, but if we get a massive offer, you never know.

We now need a couple of goalkeepers (1 to start and one as cover) and a couple of capable forwards to complete the squad

Tutonda may be cover for Allarakhia as much as he is cover for Beckwith. Jim has mentioned signing players who can play multiple positions.

The demand on Adebayo-Rowling and Allarakhia to play that specific wingback role was pretty high last season. The signings of Tutonda and Hosannah suggest Jim has learned from last years experience of trying to cover that role with Senior, Alfa, Buyabu, Okeke, Penney, Armstrong, plus cameos there from Kingdon, Ayinde, Adu-Poku, Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grubb.

Poll: Would you have Keith Hill back?

That Grubb fella was a right let down!

Tutonda is ten times the player Allarakhia is. There's no comparison.

Tutunda adds strength and pace…

Wow spoiled over the last 48 hours..

Absolutely no reason for any on the fence to not get that season card purchased and get to Spotland for what could be an incredible 25/26 season.

It this pushes Allarakhia that’s a good thing. Taryn more than capable and I expect him to kick on second season with better quality players (New signings) around him.

The whole squad remains together and are up for it.. from what I hear and can see on social media.

Looks another very strong signing on paper. I do wonder whether the signings of Moss and Tutonda have been made with half an eye on us going to 4 at the back for certain games, something I know 442dale and others have referenced before.

The tactical flexibility would be a good step in the right direction of tweaking things from last year.

Or playing them at wingback in certain games? A five defence in effect?
There were times early last season when Armstrong was used as sub for TAR to stiffen the left hand side.
