| TVOS Preview - Rochdale v Wealdstone on 18:04 - Apr 10 with 7249 views | D_Alien | It'll be interesting to see how many of those who turned up against Morecambe return tomorrow. We had about 4300 in the home stands, and extra 1200 or so but i'd be surprised if we didn't lose 1000 of those. Many may have also bought tickets for the York fixture | |

There were a lot of local youth teams there boosting the attendance - think it was 16 free tickets for players and 2 free for their coaches. The Ratcliffe had quite a few in before the game. That and it being a bank holiday will have boosted the attendance by quite a bit. Think we’ve missed a trick with both the youth team games by not offering a deal for them to return with parents for the next game at reduced prices. Develop the habit.

Isn't that the sort of thing Stockport were doing? Sorry if that is wrong or shouldn't be mentioned. [Post edited 10 Apr 23:27]

They're not daft. It's another difficult watch so far. We look an absolute shadow of the team from a few weeks ago.

Why are they not daft? Surely if you’re a Dale fan, if your situation and finances allow, you turn up whatever the previous result? For those who come now and again, some of the reasons are listed above.

| TVOS Preview - Rochdale v Wealdstone on 18:17 - Apr 11 with 6215 views | 442Dale | Poor half. There’s a lot of space but need a spark. Moss out wide remains an issue that should be addressed. | |

Really don't see what Smith brings to the team other than maybe as an impact sub, I would get Hendo on for him. Gilmour understandably doesn't look fit but the whole team looks sluggish like the pressure has got too much for them.

There is no attacking outlet that side. The ball came across from the right to Perry he looked left and then went back right. At this stage it is unfair on Moss. Smith has also been anonymous and not even worked hard. Rodney and Hannant on at half time.
| TVOS Preview - Rochdale v Wealdstone on 18:21 - Apr 11 with 6151 views | frenzied | Struggling to put 3 or 4 passes together. Wealdstone the better side. Our press is non existent. Ball lobbed towards Mani in the hope he can do something. No creativity whatsoever. Miles off our game Their keeper struggles to catch the ball cleanly [Post edited 11 Apr 18:33]

Awful game to watch. No pace, little attacking intent. Can't work out whether it's nerves or coaching. But somebody wanted to know what York fans would be thinking. They will be looking forward to taking the trophy next week...unless we can massively turn this around in the second half. Subs needed because they are onto every ball and we seem to take the easy option to pass back. There is nothing to loss by throwing everything at in the second half.

Agree. The continual putting Moss in a position where he has no options is NOT his fault. Barlow well below par and not connecting with him [Post edited 11 Apr 18:27]

Players look sluggish and almost a half a yard short of what they should be at. The impact on them psychologically is obvious. Individuals have to do more.

| TVOS Preview - Rochdale v Wealdstone on 18:26 - Apr 11 with 6079 views | Delboy | No cohesion whatsoever. Half the players look to have lost the plot completely. No fight no passion. Have we given up the fight already? If Jim has ever been capable of the 'hairdryer' half-time treatment this it !! | | | |

Never was his fault. Even when we were doing well with him there and he contributed with a couple of goals and an assist he limited how we played. It was a tactical error to continue with it.

You said it yourself. Lots of freebies from local football teams last game. And the product on show latterly will hardly encourage them to come back. If you think that was an entertaining watch then you're seeing things differently to me and probably most others. The confidence has evaporated from the team recently. Is it the tactics or the players? Just seen your other comments. Certainly very strange balance or lack of it. Gilmour not up to speed and Smith/Barlow ineffective so far.In fact I'm struggling to pick out good performances from anyone. [Post edited 11 Apr 18:37]

The Morecambe game was an entertaining game to watch for a neutral or for those attending as freebies. For any loyal Dale fan it was a disappointing defeat in a season when we’ve accumulated a record point total. For those loyal fans who have watched for years/decades, I’d see no reason for them not to be here today if, as noted, situation and finances allow.

Sad thing is, Wealdstone look far more likely to score a second than we do getting back into it.
| TVOS Preview - Rochdale v Wealdstone on 19:04 - Apr 11 with 5636 views | Delboy | The depressing part of this is how easily we are being contained. This does not look good for the playoffs we look devoid of ideas energy and dare I say it belief. It's all gone wrong. It's just so Rochdale so disappointing. | | | |
