Absolutely love the enthusiasm and I’m sure some people need to hear it, but it’s a huge not a chance from me. Been here too many times now. Had the game finished 0-0 then I would have understood, but that was beyond cruel. What’s the point in a late winners the last few weeks to keep hopes up to be destroyed by that ending. Thats not normal in any shape or form. I’m still not convinced that was a goal and how on gods green earth do they score in added added time like that. Something is definitely not right and I would be calling in the exorcists. Had hope on this game after such an amazing season and would have understood being outplayed and losing, but that was the devils work….. | | | |

Understand the sentiment, but my enthusiasm, every other Daley's enthusiasm and everyone employed at the club's enthusiasm - whilst essential - just sometimes isn't enough
I repeat - what matters is having a good approach and the rest is down to random chance. I agree, the "fan" invasion didn't help...
That's also why i can view the outcome without needing to cite something that just doesn't exist
When i agreed with R!7ALE's use of the term "exorcism", it was more to do with exorcising past ghosts. We didn't do that, but again, not down to anything but the utter unpredictability of sport - which is why we watch in the first place [Post edited 25 Apr 16:24]

Yeah tactically McNulty out-thought Maynard today, to the point they had to completely change how they set up to see out the game. Don’t get me wrong, still thought York had the better of the second half but they were obviously concerned about how direct we were going - too direct at times, but it would have been justified had Mani’s goal been the winner.
It wasn’t though. The chaotic scenes created further chaotic scenes and the rest will go down as one the most unique games in football history, let alone Dale’s.
That’s no consolation now, and while I don’t think we’re cursed or anything like that, I can appreciate how people feel at a time like this. |  |

Yep. There was no sense of being cheated and it’s only clutching at a few straws to do so. Trying not to be hypercritical but we were a bit all over the place for the goal. Men over on both sides before it’s forced home.
But, as we’ve seen with other late goals over the years, sometimes it’s all dependent on the bigger situation as to how they’re viewed.
It happens, it’s all about how we react now. Right now, they all have to try and lift themselves. Possibly the hardest job any Rochdale squad will have ever had to do after a game. | |

Hundred percent this comment. How many times. You can put 11 men on the goal line for a minute and not concede. How is it humanly possible. We scored in the 95th minute and there was 6 minutes of extra time. I just cannot a) comprehend how it’s possible and b)still not convinced yet that it went in (this I will change if I can see a better angle). How are we here again. As previously stated if we had been beaten in the game or drawn 0-0 it would have been less distressing. This is brutal and I’m not sure any amazing team talks could lift me as a player to get up for playoffs now | | | |

They've no choice but to accept it, as it's done and dusted now. It might have been a penalty if not a goal, although I have only watched it back on a small screen so haven't seen a clear view of whether Smith (I think) handled the ball or not. | |
