| Coaches 22:31 - May 3 with 3548 views | Sandyman | The official site says coaches will leave at 7:30 next Sunday. Coach tickets booked through Fanbase say 8:00. ? | | | | |
| Coaches on 08:48 - May 4 with 3201 views | nordenblue | Isn't leaving at 7.30 very early, dont use the coaches but is does seem early considering the distance, is that about the 'usual' time ? | | | |
| Coaches on 08:58 - May 4 with 3157 views | isitme | The website now says 7:30-8:00. With an initial booking of 10, which may increase there will be staggered set off time. The booking for the coach does not specify a coach number so it might well be just fill up and once they are full they will set off? | | | |

Makes sense. With it being a Sunday the coach may be a better option for a lot of people and although it’s a bit picky when we’ve moved forward so much as a club, £50 is a bit much. Others may know more about coach hire prices etc, but it’s a lot of money if a family are going.

Rothwell's of Heywood charging £55 for Wembley trip. It does sound "a bit much", but our regular away coach travel has been subsidised by the Ogden's all season for which we should be grateful.

That was the counter point to it, we’ve undoubtedly been very lucky to have that support in place for fans who use coaches every week.

£50 is really cheap. Have you seen the price of diesel. Door to door, so no hassle. I think the club have done a great deal for fans at that price. Avanti want double that for the journey and you have to get to and from Manchester and to and from Euston Its a pity that Avanti couldn't run a couple of trains direct from Rochdale. The best route for Wembley by mainline train is via the Chiltern Line as they have a Wembley Stadium station on the opposite side to Wembley Way. You can park up at Warwick Parkway and catch the train to and from there. A good option for those wanting to drive part way. [Post edited 4 May 10:37]

Thought I could have been miles out on what coach prices are. Just the figure looks a large one if it’s a family going.

Avanti sell a family ticket for £65 that covers up to 2 adults and 3 kids. If the alternative is £250 for 5 coach tickets, I know I'm happy to deal with extra hassle of getting into Manchester/getting to Wembley from Euston. Train travel far quicker and much better for kids so definitely worth considering as an alternative. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Also on the Chiltern Line is Gerrards Cross station, which is near Jct 2 of the M40. Has a big car park and it's just one stop to Wembley Stadium.

I looked at avanti for an adult and a child for sunday. £169 was the cheapest available. Could be reduced to £96 if you bought a family rail pass. Would like to know where you got a £69 ticket for four of you there and back in the day [Post edited 4 May 15:11]

Sorry, I should have given more details. We go out Saturday and return Monday. Making a bit of a trip out of it. Looking at return journeys for Sunday only, they are £200 or so. There are still £65 outbound tickets for Saturday and £65 tickets returning Sunday/Monday. Grab a Travelodge for £100 Saturday night and not much difference in price plus a night away.
