Just watched the highlights back from Wembley, and we have quality in our squad to compete in League 2. Singling out Petit, he has shown calibre. His quality of pass (weight, timing) is the best in the club
It's been difficult for JM to not start with the Gilmour/East combo, since neither deserves to be excluded when fit bur sometimes these two have been out-manoeuvered. The good thing is Pettit doesn't seem to be phased by not starting and his rapport with the squad and fans was there for all to see at Wembley |  |

Yes deffo, he's not a moaner cos of his lack of starts and takes it in his stride with a smile. A great team player. He does add that quality with weighted deliveries and tackling. He's not just coming on to replace a knackered player; he gives the team a boost. | | | |

He is more of a sitter than Gilmour and East and allows others to play. If we have two flying wing backs or played with three in midfield this ability would probably be more important.
Another factor is that it was his first year in a system and East and Gilmour's third. It takes time to adjust. With a good preseason he should definitely by challenging to start more. I suspect Francis has more to his game than we have seen. Central midfield is an area in which we are well stocked. |  | | |
