Indeed, although the fall out also meant we may have had no club too. How shareholders contacts ended up in the hands of Morton House, we'll never know.

But we can make an educated guess.

Horrible people the lot of them. Hopefully the Ogden family will ensure the Club can never be put in peril again. They've seen the love that the fans have for the club first hand, it can never be left to a few individuals to decide it's future again. Morton House weren't the only charlatans trying to acquire the club, others followed but thankfully didn't succeed. [Post edited 1 Jun 19:03]

I'd almost forgotten he existed, such was his non-contribution. Wasn't he the one who pleaded with shareholders on behalf of Bottomley? Can't quite recall it, but wasn't there some "over egging" regarding his credentials? Seems like a lifetime ago, and but for the fans, it's almost certain that there would be houses on Spotland by now. Such a lot has happened since that eventful night. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

There's an email somewhere. Jones, Upton and Bottomley were named in the petition alongside Southall as being denied a share purchase.

There were others in the boardroom who also facilitated what went on, let's not forget that. All were prepared to sell their shares had there not be intervention and all of them entertained Curran etc on the evening of the Swindon Town home game. No respect or care for the club whatsoever from any of them. If only those pesky fans hadn't turned up on the car park that same evening. #interfering [Post edited 3 Jun 6:59]

.. and went on to do the exact opposite of "unwavering commitment and dedication to the football club" , engineering some rather awful people to get involved to suit his own interests. He's a c**t. Always will be. In life, in death, and after. That is set in stone. Irrevocable.
