who do you realistically want to replace Coleman if he got the push? I'm struggling to name many out of work managers that, a) we could afford, and b) would actually want

Seeing how Flitcroft will probably be sticking at Oakwell, do we go down the roll of youth coach, which has failed, or do we get in someone experienced, which is currently failing? I''m just not sure what road the club need to be looking at going down in terms of a new appointment if needed.

Life is a game of fate.

In all seriousness , we don't know who's out there .

Other clubs have taken punts on youth coaches at bigger clubs with good pedigrees . I'd rather have that , despite recent failures in that area , than re-cycled failures who have managed elsewhere , been sacked , and then come back again (Hill excepted !)

What is important is that there is due diligence in the recruitment process to ensure anyone appointed is fit for purpose !

Not bad, but perhaps change the decision makers?

Is Pemberton still with Sheffield united, I wouldn't be disappointed if we went down that route, not him specifically but that sort of manager.

I see where you're coming from there. I've thought it for a while but the board, as much as I respect everything they given to Rochdale, have a lot to answer for. Off the field, I'm not sure enough is being done to try and get people through the gate. Yes, the form we're in will reduce the numbers coming through but I don't see the club making any effort to increase numbers, no offers, no incentives, no anything.

There seems to be an attitude at the very top that suggests they're more than happy to turn up and keep things rolling along as they are. Many have said it before but I don't think there's enough forward thinkers in the boardroom anymore.

They got the Steve Eyre decision wrong, they've held their hands up about that but the big mistake was sacking him too late and then allowing Chris Beech to take charge for a month. By the end of that, Jose Mourinho wouldn't have kept us up.

I still back Coleman in that I believe he has the ability to turn the form around but have said how disgruntled I am with the discipline or lack there of. At the moment it's like watching a Steve Evans side in that we are an awful side to watch with play acting, stupid challenges, bad attitudes etc. The board have to nip that in the bud somehow and tell them that we don't want that and we don't want to be a club that other clubs hate.

If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor

LOL - You missed Pep out!!!

We have as much chance of getting him as 80% of the names above.

Having said that I would have any of them above the current joke that is mismanaging this club!!!!

Good for him, I hope he does well.

Be interesting how his and Hill's careers pan out now after the parting of the ways.

Alan Knill screams out for me from the above list, his career almost mirrors Hilcrofts, but 12 months behind.

I would like to see BBM given a go until the end of the season.

You want steve kean? u srs?

His management record is simply awful.

On that list, out of the managers i'd want, there is probably one who is realistic and thats knill, with that in mind, i'd leave coleman in his post until the end of the season and see if he can turn things around.

Leader of the little gang of immature cretins.

Some people really do have their heads in the clouds... Steve Kean... Diluted some of you... We haven't got the money... Remember that when your picking names out. I'd even say Hill even if he wanted/ the chairman wanted him back, is out of our price range... Please be realistic

Given what TTN mentioned about what we can realistically afford, I think BBM is a good call. Intelligent footballer and appears to highly regarded within the game.

Can you please provide one sensible reason as to why you want Steve Kean to manage Dale, or any other club for that matter?

NIck Barmby. Whether we can't afford him is another story! Cotterball would probably get us up but we all will be having sore necks

Neil Redfearn could be an interesting name
John Pemberton as another--probably either would jump at the chance and bring fresh non-neanderthal thinking to the club

many of the names on that list (dowie, davies etc) were unemployed when we appointed eyre. either they didn't apply or did not endear themselves to the board.

one name i would like to see considered is gareth griffiths

he was hill's assistant early on while flicker sorted out the business he and hill had together.

certainly a cheaper option which seems like it will be necessary.

You are playing with fire if you change the manager at this moment in time. Don't rock the boat baby more than it is rocking at the moment. The obvious risk is that the new manager may not hit the ground running. Yes, brilliant if he does. But we must weight the downside of the equation very heavily. We must be focused on the possibility of slipping into the abyss that is the Conference. We cannot afford to risk the next manager not having time to turn things around. This team has got "Coleman" stamped all over it. Bringing a new boss in may not motivate the Coleman players enough. Like I said, a new boss could work wonders, but what happens if he doesn't????????

Coleman has enough about him to steer us to safety. When we reach calmer waters we can make better decisions for the club going forward. Reaction is dangerous in the extreme given our set of circumstances. Even if people are staying away in droves, Chris Dunphy must hold his nerve and keep with Coleman until we are mathematically sure we can live another season in the Rochdale League.

Until that day I would urge all supporters, ESPECIALLY if you hate Coleman, the "tactics" etc, to keep turning up, put money into the club as a respect to your fellow Dale supporter and for the sake of Rochdale Football Club. We owe it to the next generation being responsible guardians. Don't walk away in the hour of need.

Jesus saves but Beasley scores off the rebound.

If he was interested surely he would have been more enthusiastic when helping Hill out last time... Think his external business interests are more important tbf
