Nearly 10 years ago since we won a live televised game on national tv! 😮 (Our only 1 under Hill)
Can we change that disastrous record tonight? Bloody hope so - I'm sick of watching us not turning up whenever we are given a chance. Come on Hilly! Give us something to be proud about in work tomorrow!

Out of interest, how many games have we played on TV since then? I can think of the Darlington league game where Kennedy scored an absolute belter for them. Wigan and Stoke at home both a couple of years ago, Bury away, FCUM, the Gillingham play offs?

I'm almost 67% sure the Luton defeat was on ITV (so probably wasn't). I seem to recall us actually playing pretty well but we just couldn't score.

I watched the 2-0 win over Leeds on TV. Was that not national TV? Pretty certain i was Live, had to set the alarm to get up for it.

Luton was on ITV4

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Yes you're right - quick edit 👍🏻

Aye we should've won 2 games with all the chances we missed! Kevin Gallen got both their goals against the run of play and we had a 16 year old keeper never seen again - Danny Taberner? We also played very well at Birmingham in defeat. The majority of those games though were not Hill/Dale good showings - for whatever reason?
It's quite staggering really for a manager with a 40+ % win ratio for us. Our win ratio on live tv is 1 in 14 (7%). ☹️

what a day the play off semi v Darlington!

what a strike by Perkins!!

How on earth did Perkins get sent off there was zero contact and it was an attempted tackle!

One of my Dale supporting highlights of recent years.. Leeds at home winning 2-0 runs it close.

That's an awful record when you consider that in that period it's been one of the best sides we can remember.

Key to that list is the missing clean sheet. Only 2 in 14 games.

Here's hoping that it's 3 in 15 by full time tonight.

It is! It's certainly baffling when you consider Hill's overall win percentage with us - I certainly can't explain it. Yes there are games in the list that we were expecting to lose but there are others where we've been top of the league and playing superb. The FC Utd one stands out the most where you think there must be some sort of curse on us or the nerves overcome us on the day. We even somehow managed to claw back from 0-2 down only to throw it away in the 93rd min. The previously mentioned Luton game - we absolutely battered them on the night and somehow lost 0-2. Infact the only one we won seems to be the only one we had a bit of luck go our way with Perkins deflected winner - and even that was after the ref had given one of the most baffling penalty decisions against us I've ever seen. Just hope tonight we can get this monkey off our backs..........but I'm certainly not that confident ☹️

15 mins highlights from the Leeds game. Eddie Grey was doing the co-commentating he was very complimentary about us - whilst slating Leeds at the same time.

That was the run of 3 or 4 consecutive games where we had 3 or 4 different keepers play one after the other.

Werent we on live for a couple of league games at home, both on a Sunday, possibly Orient and Brighton which we won? I seem to remember Hornets wanting some kind of 'compensation' as they should have been at home on those days.

His hat-trick was against Chester two months later. Graham Barrow missed it as he was too busy waving at the Chester fans.

Morris scored one v Hull, with Michael Holt getting the other two.
