No, although we may have given Germany a game and Russia would have battered us.

To be honest, yes you probably are the only one.

Tunisia were very well drilled and very good defensively.
You can say what you want about the referee but Tunisia played him to an absolute tee, call it gamesmanship or what you want, it very nearly got them a point.

Tunisia's last 5 matches:

Tunisia 1-0 Costa Rica (England lost v Costa Rica)
Portugal 2-2 Tunisia (Portugal are the champions of Europe)
Tunisia 2-2 Turkey
Tunisia 0-1 Spain (Spain scored an 83rd minute winner)
England 2-1 Tunisia

They are a decent team, their results give you the bigger picture so I think England deserve massive credit for a professional performance to get 3 points.

It's been 4 years and that 0-0 draw still feels like a loss.

England beat Costa Rica 2-0 recently.

I think you probably are the only one who thinks Dale would have beaten that Tunisia side.

8 of the 23 in the squad are from London based sides, the main reason being Spurs investing (time or money) in English talent.

What a bizarre post.

I'm well aware.

So what about the rest of my post?
Or are you just going to pick that one line out to prove me wrong?

Just wondering.

I wasn't trying to prove you wrong. I was adding the most recent match between England and Costa Rica, rather than the one four years ago.

Tunisia are ranked the 21st best team in the world rankings (and were 14th in the previous ones before) yes those rankings are somewhat inaccurate at times but that means they have been winning international football matches to be ranked so high.

Why the negativity against the national team after such a positive result.. on another night with the chances made we could have won by a 5 or 6 goal margin.

Leader of the little gang of immature cretins.

I'm slightly baffled by the 'London United' comment. Is that because England play at Wembley?

8 are from London clubs, 8 are from Manchester clubs. Not sure the relevance of the comment either.

That 0-0 meant nothing really as we were already out of the World Cup.

Tell you what I have never seen a team with a higher defensive line at free kicks them Tunisia, they have a reputation of being difficult to break down

Yes I was really hoping we try something different with one of our free kicks and play in one of our runners - if they'd timed it right they would never have caught them they were so high up the pitch.

For fashion lovers, did you notice that Tunisia's kit was provided by Uhlsport who I presumed had disappeared without trace years ago.

There was no sign of the large, baggy collar though!
