Dawson 16:14 - May 22 with 3904 viewsleedsdale

Alan Nixon from the Sun is reporting Burnley are going back in for Dawson with a £15m bid. Could easily just be a lazy re-hash of last summer's story, but one to watch with interest again!

DAWS OPEN Burnley to make record £15m bid for West Brom defender Craig Dawson
Sean Dyche has been chasing the former England U21 ace for several years and is set to offer him a Premier League return

BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche is making a record £15 million bid to sign centre half Craig Dawson from West Brom.

Dyche has been after Dawson for years and finally hopes that his offer will tempt Baggies to sell.

Craig Dawson could be set for a Premier League return with Burnley
And the offer of a Premier League return for the defender will hopefully help him secure the deal.

Dawson, 29, has been close to a move to Turf Moor on a few occasions.

But he may get the chance to complete the switch in the next week.

Dyche has money to spend and always favours the domestic market and his long-term targets.

Dawson has been in his wish list several times.

Albion will let some of their better players go in a cost cutting exercise after failing to make it back to the big time.

If true WBA may jump on that offer after missing out on promotion back to the premier league.....

Fingers crossed this is true....might get BBM a bit more loot to spend this Summer so he can bring back Magnus Norman (titter!)

If Dawson went to Burnley for 15 million, do we get 20% of the fee, minus the money they paid us.

That’d be about £3m if so which would be a welcome boost

It would be great but rather than BBM having more money it probably would just mean we wouldn't have to sell anyone this season.

He'll be one of WBA's top earners (rumoured £40k per week)!
At 29 and with only 1 more year on his contract they would snap Burnley's hand off if they bid £15 million.

If Craig does go to Burnley ,would be surprised if it is to play as a central defender unless either Mee or Tarkowski are moving on.Add Gibson into the mix who cost a bob or two as well

Now now you know it was because that was the first time ever playing that auspicious team. Which other teams in the current 92 have we never played before?

Salford city. Another mug opportunity. We’ll be in the championship at this rate with the amount of mug’s we’ll be flogging to boost the transfer kitty.

In competitive action, we are yet to face:

Everton
Newcastle
West Ham
Ipswich (next season)
WBA
Salford (maybe next season in Checkatrade?)

However, we have played Everton & WBA at Spotland in friendlies.
