At a time amateur football seems to be on it's knees in Rochdale ( I remember 6 or so leagues Saturday and Sunday but seems to be a lot less now) at least this team are living it up. Great name too

Has the Saturday leave folded in Rochdale?

Fair play to them!!

I remember when there were two Saturday leagues in Rochdale, the Amateur League and the Sunday Schools League. Spent a few years playing in the latter.

When I left in 1972 there was the two Saturday Leagues and a Sunday League comprising mainly Littleborough pub teams, plus the Trafalgar and the High Sheriff. We started up a team from Rediffusion on George Street that eventually became The Bridge from Castleton and they let us in. What happened to that league?

Just guessing here but the demise of amateur pub football coincided with the closure of pubs and the Sunday school league coincided with the closure of churches.

This is not the time for bickering.
