Match Thread: Rochdale vs Ipswich on 10:10 - Apr 5 with 4039 views | todmordendale | There are a lot of people from East Anglia who used to support Ipswich in the glory days but sadly following their demise there are a lot of ex tractor fans. Up the Dale
Match Thread: Rochdale vs Ipswich on 10:52 - Apr 5 with 3966 views | Dalenet | Just watched a preview with one of their ex players from when they were in the Championship. He blames their indifferent form on Lambert who had a philosophy of playing it across the back and holding possession. Talks about having 70% possession some games but barely a shot on goal. He goes on to say that League One clubs don't have players with those abilities and Paul Cook recognises that and has changed their approach. Sound familiar? Having said that he thinks if they come at us from the off and get the first goal, the team that is the worst in the division right now will lack confidence and fold. He predicts a 4 nil win to the Tractor boys. Pin that on the changing room door BBM

Perhaps it’s best not to as if we lose 3 nil BBM will see that as us controlling the game and in his head winning it. The players can then look forward to the last 8 games of the season with confidence.

Few changes their. Wanted to see Done up top but don't think we've got that. McShane and Bazunu out is a little odd. Vale on the bench is a good sign.

Bazunu 'rested' one game too late. His head just can't have been properly focused after his international experiences Hope that means there's going to be less tapping about at the back God knows what the formation will be, but if Osho has been moved to RB that'd be a mistake. 352 would be better, or even 343 with Done pushed forward [Post edited 5 Apr 2021 14:13]

Lynch has never been strong enough competition all season long unfortunately. Done at LWB will be a waste of his good form

Imagine the same, 3-5-2 - Roberts on the left of the three and (probably) Osho on the right so O'Connell can be in the middle organising it all. Keohane and Done wing backs. We need Beesley and Baah to gel as a front two today - at least Vale is on the bench as a option, plus Newby if we need to switch to 4-4-2 later on with two wingers.
Match Thread: Rochdale vs Ipswich on 15:21 - Apr 5 with 3030 views | 442Dale | We won the ball in their half and within seconds passed it back and nearly lost it on the halfway line. Modern football is rubbish.

Match Thread: Rochdale vs Ipswich on 15:23 - Apr 5 with 3009 views | dawlishdale | Difficult start for both teams in windy conditions. Shaughnessy looking slower than usual (if possible). still can't see a footballer there. Hopefully, he proves me wrong. Shame that Done is playing wing back. Come on Dale.

Not great in terms of chances but just pleased we didn't concede in the first 10 minutes. Hopefully can start to build some momentum as I don't think a tame draw is much use.

It's been infected by a CarownO virus. Main symptoms: Persistent square and back passes Loss of attacking intent Possession fever Goal dryness Severe absence of entertainment Unwillingness to dribble Chronic fatigue of fanbase Persistent tedium

Well done Roberts 30 seconds from the end of HT. Would have been a real body blow if EOC's back pass had led to a goal but good alertness & a bit of speed saved the day. Nothing in this game. Got to go for it in the second half because they aren't great

Agree they are nothing special. They have weaknesses at the back on the floor. No point in a Shaugnessy long throw - need to get it down to get through their back line.
Match Thread: Rochdale vs Ipswich on 15:54 - Apr 5 with 2472 views | dawlishdale | Not much quality on show, especially from us, but goalless at the break, despite a howler right before the break which Roberts did really well to rescue. We have so little up front based on the first half, that a goal against might sink us. A point is little use to us, so why not go for it by bringing Newby on for a while? And genuinely; I can't remember what position Vale plays...can anyone help?
