Dale have signed two players from our Play Off opponents Darlington, as Clark Keltie and Scott Wiseman sign up at Spotland. Full story now online.

Keltie is without doubt the better known player of the two. He's been at Darlington for all of his career. He's made over 150 appearances for the Quakers during this time, and has been used primarily as a central midfielder, though has played out wide from time to time.

He's played against Dale on nine occasions, and it was he who gave Darlington the lead in the second leg of the Play Offs, before a dreadful handkissing celebration.

Whilst Wiseman isn't as well known as Keltie, he's been around for a good few years. The right back is still only 22 but has madea number of appearances at this level for the likes of Boston, Rotherham and Darlo.

He joined Darlo on loan at theback end of the 2006-7 season, before making it a permanent deal last Summer. However, it wasn't a move which worked out for Wiseman with just ten appearances over the season for the North East club. He comes to Spotland on a six month deal which will see him contracted until the January transfer window.

The signings come as speculation mounts surrounding a possible move away from Spotland for star man David Perkins. The rumour mill has a move to Stockport on the cards for the former Morecambe midfielder. The signing of another central midfielder will only add to that speculation.

Both players were released by Darlington following the defeat to Dale in the Play Offs.
