Sako appears in Hereford
Sako appears in Hereford

Former Dale midfielder Morike Sako has returned from his German excursion and has turned up on trial at League One Hereford United though he's not expected to win himself a deal with Graham Turner's men.

The larger than life midfielder had a spell at Spotland in the 2006-7 season, but it was not a move which really worked out for him. His 6'7 frame made him an easy target rather than a decent target man, and he is often used as an example of the "bad old days" from before Keith Hill took over.

He made around twenty appearances for us before being released at the end of his short term deal, before heading off to play for St Pauli in Germany.

And that was the last anyone had heard of him till he popped at Edgar Street in pre-season and played in defence for them at a pre-season game at Ledbury.
