Dale's home fixture with Notts County scheduled for Jan 29th has now been replaced by a home game with Charlton Athletic due to the Magpies FA Cup involvement.
The game with Notts County was called off last week after they Midlands side defeated Sunderland in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup, meaning for the second year in succession, we were forced to postpone a game with them due to their FA Cup heroics.
But rather than face a free Saturday, Dale have brought forward the rearranged game with Charlton Athletic. The game was originally meant to be played back at the start of December, but after its postponement, it was rearranged for the middle of March, but with both teams facing a free weekend, Dale acted quickly to bring the game forward.
It is hoped that with the game now at a weekend, a greater crowd will attend this League One fixture.
