Hull: Town Paying Bigger Share of Bullard's Wages
Hull: Town Paying Bigger Share of Bullard's Wages

Hull City’s head of football operations Adam Pearson has dismissed claims that the Blues will only pay £10,000-a-week of loan signing Jimmy Bullard’s £45,000 weekly wage.

Pearson says the half-season switch will do the 32-year-old midfielder good: "Jimmy obviously hasn't been playing for us over recent weeks. It is close to his home down there, and the move may well be the spark he needs to kickstart his season.

“He needs to play games on a consistent basis to recapture his match fitness. Jimmy is undoubtedly a player of considerable talent and Paul Jewell knows that.

“The financial saving for the club is obviously considerable and far more than the Hull Daily Mail's speculation of £10,000 per week!

"The loan contribution from Ipswich for Jimmy more than pays for Corry Evans, Tijani Belaid and Cameron Stewart. “

Evans and Stewart are on loan at the KC Stadium from Manchester United, while Tunisian international Belaid has signed on a free transfer.
