It would appear that interest in Dale striker Chris O'Grady has not gone beyond the interest stage, though speculation will no doubt continue.

Wednesday's talk was all about Chris O'Grady and a potential move to Burnley with a fee of £500,000 doing the rounds - this coming just days after there had been talk of an initial bid from Sheffield Wednesday for the striker.

However, the fears from Dale supporters were eased on Thursday when confirmation came through that there had been no bid from Burnley and any interest was simply at the enquiry stage rather than it all being a done deal set to be announced at any second.

Of course, this may well continue up until the end of the August transfer window, with the Nottingham born striker considered hot property after impressing in League One last season.
