Trotman to miss Capital cup clash
Trotman to miss Capital cup clash

Defender Neal Trotman will be Tuesday night's trip to Premiership newboys QPR after his sending off against Oldham at the weekend.

Trotman was sent off for two yellow cards at the weekend, and as such will serve a one match suspension. His first yellow card came courtesy of a challenge on former Dale loanee Reuben Reid, whilst the second came for a wild challenge on Kiaran Lee.

Defender Pim Balkestein, who joined the club on loan from Brentford last Friday, is expected to come in and take Trotman's place. He didn't play for Brentford in the first round and with the Bees having exited this competition, there should be no issues about him being allowed to play.

Goalkeeper Jake Kean will be expected to miss this game. He missed the first game having not been allowed to be cup tied by parent club Blackburn Rovers. Veteran keeper David Lucas will take his place.
