The recent MP expenses row has reached Spotland with the news that Rochdale MP Paul Rowen claimed for his pitchside advertising board.

If you're not aware of the recent expenses row, then clearly you've been living on a different planet over the past few weeks, but nobody expected the expenses row to reach Spotland.

But on the day that every single MP had their expenses released, close scrutiny of Rochdale MP Paul Rowen's expenses revealed that his pitchside advertising board was paid for by taxpayers money.

Page 9 of his published expenses revealed that he claimed £493.50 for his pitchside advert, whilst Page 28 reveals a further payment to Dale that he claimed for £998.75.

We at RochdaleAFC.com take these revelations as absolute proof that we'd stick any old rubbish on the site over the Summer months.
