With the dust on the 2011-12 season not yet settled, Dale boss John Coleman has got started on his Summer overhaul by drafting in Macclesfield striker George Donnelly for a nominal fee.

Liverpool born Donnelly has been around the League Two scene for a couple of years now, after a career which has seen him play for Macc, Stockport and further back with spells at Luton and Plymouth.

He finished the season as top scorer at the Moss Rose, picking up seven goals in 32 appearances, and by all accounts Dale boss John Coleman has had his eye on him for a while.

He has signed a two year contract with Dale, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2013-14 season.
