Last Day For Season Ticket Sales Tuesday, 31st Jul 2012 10:08
For those who havent bought a season ticket yet and who intend to buy one, you had better get a move on fast.
Today Tuesday July 31st is the final day of season ticket sales at St Mary's, anyone wanting to purchase one has to do so by today as no further sales will be possible after close of business today.
From tomorrow season ticket sales will cease and there will be no half season tickets later in the season either.
The club couldnt be more clear about this, but just in case anyone isnt sure you now know.

Absolutely ridiculous that somebody cannot get to the box office at any time before or during the season and buy a season ticket. its like me telling my customers to book by Friday or dont bother!!

He wasnt saying that there wasnt plenty of time, he was asking why a company would want to turn down customers who want to pay them money

St Mick, I imagine that a deadline is required for effective/accurate financial forcasting. If you know what you have in the bank you know what you can/cant afford t spend RE: buying a season ticket anytimeduring the season.. doesnt really work that.. IMO early bird deals and reduced re-newal prices and that.

Jesus02 No other clubs stop season ticket sales with over 2 weeks to go before the season, in fact at most clubs you can buy a season ticket right through the season and this was the case at sms till 2 years ago, indeed they heavily promoted half season ticket sales as well. The club would have their financial forecast as to how much revenue they have come the opening day so know what they can spend. buying season tickets during the season works on all levels, firstly you are getting money in, in advance , secondly you are re affirming the loyalty of a supporter, who is then more likely to re new his ticket the following year as well as go to all the remaining games that season.

Does anyone know if the club actually publishes the number of season tickets they sell ? There is a maximum, allowing for away entitlement, but surely we are not up to that mark. Otherwise, I too can't understand why they would want to turn away advance sales.

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Rochdale Polls |
