Rude awakening for Warnock (and Pearce)
Rude awakening for Warnock (and Pearce)

Although Rodolph Austin's injury is not as bad as first feared, Jamaican star still faces lengthy spell on the sidelines and Jason Pearce's red-card has been upheld despite appeal.

The good news is Rodolph Austin has not broken his leg in two places, the bad news however is he has cracked his ankle bone and will be out for a significant length of time.

Although Neil Warnock hopes to see him sooner rather than later there are fears it will be months rather than weeks. A chipped ankle bone has cost Ross McCormack three months of the season at least.

To compound Warnock's woes, Jason Pearce will miss the next three matches after the FA ruled referee Trevor Kettle was right to show him a straight red-card for a challenge on Watford's Matej Vydra.

Pearce told LUFC.com that he was "disappointed" with the decision and will now miss the next three-matches.

Let's hope Tom Lees comes back injury and incident free from England u21 duty.
