Top Team?

Those reminiscing of good Bird was when he played in the LoW should have been at tonight's game for a dose of reality. We will not blow promotion this season - the team is too organised for that and has too much of a lead on 4th position, but it is not comfortable watching a team out-battled by ex-scummer Ratcliffe's men. The fact that so many shots fromthe Swans ended a sdeflections is testament to the tackling and "foot in" that the Shrews defenders managed. Highlight of the game was Cusack's cracking 30 yarder which hit the underside of the bar with their keeper beaten - only for Bird to follow in on an open goal to head .... over. Player ratings: Everyone 4 except Cusack 7, Thomas 7 and Howard 6. Oh and those calling for Appleby to replace Coates can now realise that Coates and Price are the best we have. Tip for predicatscores ... try 0-0 for the forseeable future. Regards Gary ps This is the most succesful Swans side ever - highest points total with 10 games to play, and longest winning run ever. Sad isn't it?
