Burley Says Door Is Shut Thursday, 23rd Aug 2007 13:42 George Burley says that the door is firmly shut and that there will be no last minute departures from St Mary's Speaking to The Daily Echo, Burley has tried to put an end to speculation about Jonh Viafara and Kenwynne Jones by stating that the door is firmly bolted on any departures and that he has no need to sell anyone. But in the other direction Burley is not quite finished, although he will not have any more money to spend unless he should sell someone, he is hopefull of tying up a loand deal before the end of the transfer window, although strictly speaking that only shuts on permananet moves in a week or so's time and loan signings can be made up until the middle of November. Burley spoke in positive tones to the paper in contrast to the past few weeks and with the signing of Thomas feels the side is starting to get a solid feel about it although he feels its a little thin on the ground in midfield. Tickets for Saturday's game against Stoke can be purchased up to 8pm this evening and Friday as the box office opens late.
