Middlesbrough Interested Says Derby County Boss Saturday, 28th Jun 2008 12:19 Paul Jewell has stuck his nose in again by telling the world that Middlesbrough are showing an interest in Ferrie Bodde. Not quite sure how Jewell knows these things but he has declared that the North East side are the third team lining up the Dutch midfielder joining West Brom and Jewell's own side Derby County. Derby are, to public knowledge anyway unless Jewell knows different. the only side to have made a bid for the player but none of the bids have been accepted with the Swans seemingly in no rush to cave in to the mind games that have come from Pride Park. For a club that hasn't been given permission to speak to the player they claimed he wanted to go to Derby before he said, they knew he was house hunting despite being in Holland and now they know that another club is interested. Shame they are not as good at winning football matches.... That's besides the point though as Jewell said "I would imagine there are a few clubs in for Ferrie because he's a good player," "Our bid has been rejected by Swansea," Jewell added. "But the two chairmen are speaking and trying to thrash a deal out." A conversation which should simply go "£2m" says Huw Jenkins. "That or nothing.....!"
