The Swans have confirmed that Albert Serran has completed his move to the Liberty Stadium a few days after reports in Spain

The defender has signed a long term performance related contract that will run at last two years whilst Espanyol will have the first option on the player should he move on within that two year period.

Serran is seen in the main as a central defender and Roberto was clearly happy to get his man as he told the Evening Post "We're delighted to get these two because they're both very talented players

"Albert has played a few times in La Liga and is highly-regarded in Spain.

"He had other options, but he decided he wanted to join us because of the following Swansea City have had in the last 12 months.

"He wanted to come here and we're delighted because we have signed a committed player who will suit the British game down to the ground.

"He is an aggressive defender, a winner, and he's someone who wants to play in the Premier League with Swansea."

Serran will set the Swans back around £80,000 with the first dabs option in place to reduce the initial price.

Serran joins five more Spaniards at the Liberty - enough for an inquisition surely.
