Prately Insists Jet Lag Will Not Be A Problem

Darren Pratley has reassured Swans fans that he will not suffer from jet lag when he plays for Jamaica

The Swansea City midfielder will make his debut for Jamaica in next month's friendly with Nigeria at Millwall's New Den after his first call up by John Barnes during the week.

And Pratley is well aware that although this first game is in London, he will be required to fly across the world should he be called up again.

Jason Scotland has suffered in the past from jet lag after his own international excursions but Pratley insists that the same problems will not effect him should the situation arise.

He said "I've seen Jason come back from playing for Trinidad on a Thursday and play on a Friday which is very tough.

"But I'm only 23 and a fit guy so I don't think it will be too tough for me.  I wouldn't mind the long flight there and back to play for Jamaica.

"International football is the next step up - you are playing against the best players in the world.

"I feel as if I'm ready to do it if I get the chance."
