Swansea City boss Roberto Martinez could have Dundee United's French midfielder Morgaro Gomis in his s

The Evening Times has reported that the Spaniard was in attendance at Celtic Park as Gordon Strachan's side faced Dundee United to see the talented 23 year old.

Starting his career with Montpellier in Southern France, the Parisian failed to secure a club after unsuccessful trails with premiership giants Chelsea, Swiss outfit FC Lausanne Sport and German side Sport-Club Freiburg, before settling in the United Kingdom with non league club Windsor and Eton.

Moves to Dagenham and Redbridge, Barnet, Lewes and Cowdenbeath followed but it is with Dundee United that the Frenchman has found his feet amassing over 90 appearances for the Terrors. His good form did not go unnoticed by Senegal's national interim manager Amsatou Fall, as he called up Gomis to face Iran and Oman.

Even his team-mates believe that the midfielder is destined for bigger things with David Robertson hailing Gomis as a "very special" talent as he told the Dundee Courier, he said “I thought that was Morgaro’s best game for United. He was outstanding and I would go so far to say his performance was flawless. He was up against some top quality players but, for me, he ran the show and had them chasing him.”

“His composure on the ball is amazing, he is strong and he sees passes that other players don’t see. Celtic have some great talent in their team but he is as good as any of them. He is one of those players who adapts to any surroundings and that is why I am sure he could play at a much higher level. The better the player he is up against the better he seems to get. He is a very special player and I wouldn’t be surprised if some really big clubs are watching him now."

Swansea do face competition for Gomis, with Ipswich Town boss Roy Keane also thought to be tracking the Frenchman.
