Newcastle's Jonas Gutierrez has promised to weat the Spiderman mask if he scores against Swansea today

Gutierrez used to put the mask on whenever he scored for Real Madrid but is yet to do the same for the Toon - transfer speculation stopped him doing it when he scored at Peterborough earlier this season.

But now he is settled he has promised to do it next time he finds the target.

“After Peterborough I didn’t celebrate because the newspapers were saying that I was going to Roma

“Now I have made my point and the fans know what I think about the club.

“I’ll wear the mask the next time I score for sure.

“And I hope that it can be against Swansea – I don’t want to wait a long time for the next goal. “I can’t wait to show the mask to the fans.

“Preston showed, like most teams must this season, they will try their hardest to beat us because we are Newcastle.

“But we outfought them and played a good game which we now have to do all over again when we play Swansea. They play some good football but we can’t stand and admire them.”
