No Contract Deadline For Leon Friday, 14th May 2010 18:50 Huw Jenkins has revealed that there is no deadline for Leon Britton to sign his new deal The midfielder is, according to his agent, talking to other clubs with his current Swans deal ending in just over a month's time. Despite talk of a 72 hour deadline to make his decision, Jenkins said that Britton deserved more from the club and confirmed that he would allow him time to think things over. The Swansea chairman told the Evening Post: "All I know is that according to Leon's agent, he is talking to other clubs, as he is perfectly entitled to do. "With some players we have set deadlines for them to give us an answer, but in Leon's case we won't be doing that. "When you think about the service he has given us," he added, "we feel he deserves a little bit more from us." There's still no news regarding the future of other out of contract players such as Fede Bessone, Jazz Richards and Andrea Orlandi, but Cedric van der Gun has been awarded an automatic extension to his deal.
