Brendan Rodgers believes that the capture of Marvin Emnes will add depth to his squad

The Swansea City manager completed a one month loan deal for Emnes yesterday and the Boro man will go straight into the squad for the visit of league leaders QPR this evening.

And Rodgers explained to the Official website the reasons for the signing "We've got a few young players in the squad who are not going to last every minute of every game

"And I just feel we lack pace on both wings when Scott (Sinclair) or Nathan (Dyer) aren't playing. Marvin has a lot of pace and can go people in one on one situations.

"He's not in the picture at Middlesbrough at the moment. It's a chance for us to have a look at him over the next month and perhaps then we'll see if we can do something else further down the line.''
