Dale have signed Michael Rose on non contract terms, as Keith Hill continues his strengthening of the Dale squad.

The experienced left back joins Dale and becomes Keith Hill's fifth signing in the space of just over three weeks. The 30 year old comes to the club after having his contract cancelled at Colchester United and he has over 400 appearances to his name.

His career has seen him take in spells at Man United, Chester, Hereford, Yeovil, Cheltenham, Scunthorpe, Stockport, Norwich, Swindon, and most recently Colchester for whom he has played in the vast majority of their games this season.

The Salford born defender was part of the Stockport side that beat Dale at Wembley back in 2008, and becomes the third member of that squad to go on and play for Dale (and the fourth to go on and play for Keith Hill).

It is widely expected that Rose will make his debut on Saturday in place of Kevin McIntyre.
