As expected, Steve Morison has moved back to Millwall, on loan.

The Leeds' number 9 has barely set the world alight at Leeds, however the latest cash crisis at Elkand Road has forced us to get him off the wage bill so he returns to one of his former clubs Millwall on a season long loan.

The 29-year-old is reportedly earning a whopping £17,000 a week at Elland Road. Moving him on, albeit on loan apparently will pave the way for Brian McDermott to reunite himself with his old favourite Noel Hunt, who is expected to sign next week.

To me, this represents a massive loss of face at Elland Road, whereby we have been forced to lend the man we swopped Luciano Becchio for to one of the most spiteful and hateful clubs on the planet, who are also in the same Division as us.

It is a grim indicator of the fragile financial situation at Leeds United and unless the "new owners" can find investment quick, another season of under achievement beckons.

Earlier it was revealed Leeds took out a loan from a Dubai based organisation who Board Member David Haigh is also a Director of. Leeds of course have had to pay back our season ticket receipts this summer to sponsors Enterprise Insurance after previous owner Ken Bates borrowed money to pay for stadium improvements.

Now it seems the club need to borrow money just to pay the weekly bills!

Worrying times indeed, particularly as Leeds today announced the club shop will be closed on Sunday for "stock taking".

Probably to count how many Morison 9 shirts are left unsold and likely to remain unsold!
