Jason Kennedy has left the club after agreeing a switch to League One side Bradford City.

It had been just the merest of hopes that we would be seeing Jason Kennedy in a Rochdale shirt next season. The signing of Matty Lund appeared to be the door closing on Kennedy but the faintest of hopes remained.

However, it was confirmed on Tuesday that Kennedy would be joining up with the army of former Rochdale players at Valley Parade by signing a deal with Bradford City.

Dale had made a strong attempt to extend his time at the club, but the lure of a club nearer to his North East home and a higher level of football was too much to turn down.

This departure now means that our longest serving player is Reece Gray.
