Thanks Luke And Good Luck
Friday, 23rd Aug 2013 22:05

Luke Moore today left the Swans by mutual consent after the club paid up the remaining 10 months of his contract and allowed him to leave to find himself a new club after Michael Laudrup told him in the summer that he did not feature in his plans.

Moore scored a total of eight league goals for the Swans - five of them in the Premier League - since arriving here in our promotion winning season of 2010/11. He famously scored the winner against soon to be Champions Manchester City at the Liberty in 2012 but struggled to nail down any regular spot in the starting line up in almost three years at the Liberty Stadium.

Rumours emerged almost immediately today that Championship side Bolton Wanderers were interested in securing Moore's services and a move to the Reebok Stadium would team him up with another former Swan in Darren Pratley but he has also been linked with a move to Turkish side Elazygspor.

In total he struck 10 times in 61 games for the Swans in all competitions - his last game coming against Wigan towards the end of last season.

Although never a fans favourite it is only right to wish Luke all the best for the future.
