TVOS v Newport County
Friday, 11th Oct 2013 17:33 by Col

Rochdale AFC’s matchday programme — The Voice of Spotland — is back for Saturday’s League Two fixture against Newport County.

We start with a front cover image of midfielder Matty Done, who returned to Spotland in the summer after two seasons with Barnsley.

Keith Hill looks back at the Portsmouth and Port Vale games, while in ‘School Days’ we find out which player used to hate French in the classroom

Action photos appear from the games against Plymouth and Oxford and Chesterfield, while ‘Travellers Tales’ reflects on that journey to the Kassam Stadium.

‘Alternative History’ discusses what might have happened had Newport had a better team in 1987/88 and in ’55 Shades of Gray’, Brian Coyle remembers a game from that season which saw Dale lose to nine men.

Newport County get nine pages of coverage, which includes delving into our Visitors’ Scrapbook and several personal memories from our game at Somerton Park in May 1988.

All this and much, much more will be in Saturday’s The Voice of Spotland, on sale in the Club Shop and around the ground, priced £3.00.
