Tutte off
Thursday, 23rd Jan 2014 18:43 by Col

Andrew Tutte has become the second midfielder to depart the club in a matter of hours, after his contract was ripped up in a mutual agreement.

The news comes as no surprise as Tutte has found himself this season unable to establish a first team place, and he has not featured for the club since before Xmas. The emergence of the likes of Jamie Allen and Bastien Hery has even made finding a spot on the bench difficult to achieve for the former Man City reserve team captain.

it brings to an end the second spell at the club for Tutte, having played one loan for Dale during the League One campaign of 2010-11. It will be a spell remembered for some outstanding goals from midfield, but also one remembered for a petulant reaction to being subbed at Plymouth.

Tutte was originally signed by former Dale boss Steve Eyre, and had been the one remaining signing by Eyre at the club until today's departure. He leaves Spotland with 101 appearances to his name during this second spell at the club, with eleven goals.
