Jay Rodriguez On Target For Final Day Comeback Thursday, 14th May 2015 16:26 jay Rodriguez could yet play some part in this season and is on target to make the squad for the trip to Manchester City according to Ronald Koeman. Jay Rodriguez is back in full training with the first team squad and so far so good, however before he can be considered for a return to first team action the Club want to see him get some actual match action under his belt for the U21 Academy side. With a game scheduled against Manchester City U21's next week, if he comes through ok then J Rod could be in the squad for the final day fixture at the Etihad where ironically he last saw action for the first team suffering the injury that has kept him out for over a year. If he comes through the U21 game then Ronald Koeman will consider him for the trip North. “He was part of all the sessions this week. “We are still waiting about confirmation about under-21 game next week against Man City at home as we hope they will play a Tuesday and he will be part of that, maybe in the second half. “After that maybe there is a possibility to take Jay with the squad for the Manchester City game. “It will be nice for everybody because it means he will be back but it is too early to make that decision. We have to wait.” Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
