Swans Hire The Best In 'Chelsea Bias' Case
Sunday, 28th Jun 2015 17:45 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

The Swans are believed to have leading sports lawyer Nick Di Marco to challenge the decision by the FA not to award a work permit to Rafael Borre whilst Chelsea get through their own work permit requests prompting the Swans complaints.

Nick Di Marco acted on behalf of the Swans when they challenged the groans by Utrecht when Michel Vorm moved to Tottenham last summer and they have turned to the same man again to see if they can get this decision overturned and let them bring in one of the young talents they want to add to their squad.

We are believed to have had a £3m deal agreed for the player but the request for a work permit was turned down and earlier today we reported that the club had complained to the FA over the decision to turn down the request

Di Marco is the top ranked junior in the field of Sport with Chambers UK stating of him "As a junior, he stands out. He knows sport and is technically a good lawyer, very good in court and very enthusiastic. He adopts unusual but highly attractive stances when handling his cases, and comes up with points the average counsel would struggle to think of"

It does appear that the Swans have turned to the best to try and get this decision overturned.

Nick was previously a director of QPR and was also the lawyer acting for Hull City in the case to prevent their owners changing their name to the Hull City Tigers. He also acted for Cardiff City in their dispute with former manager Malky Mackay.
