Britton To See Some Game Time
Friday, 24th Jul 2015 07:34 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

After being left out of the touring squad that went to Germany, Leon Britton has been told that he will play some part in the Swans weekend friendly double header against Reading and Nottingham Forest.

The Swans will play two friendlies in two days starting at Wycombe tonight against Reading and Britton, who is still deciding on his future, will definitely feature somewhere either there or against Nottingham Forest tomorrow afternoon.

The midfielder has been told that his overall game time this coming season will be limited but Garry Monk has said that he would like to see him stay at Swansea despite interest that appears to be the strongest from across the Atlantic and MLS.

After fielding two teams in each match in Germany it looks more likely as if Garry will give the players a 90 minute run out in the friendly double but with two different sides playing in each game but there will be no place for Dwight Tiendalli as his own Liberty exit comes closer.

But it is still the situation of Britton that is attracting the most interest and who knows what a good performance from him could bring for the coming season. We know what he can do and there is definitely a part for him to play in the squad so let's see what happens next.
