Everton Draw Banished Watford Memories

Jack Cork did his chances of an England call up no harm with another solid display against Everton as the Swans raised their performance from the disappointing one that saw us lose for the first time this season at Watford.

Just over a week ago we went to Vicarage Road with an unbeaten record intact and a place in the top four of the Premier League. A pretty inept display cost us that record and there was much discussion last week about putting in a performance against Everton.

The game may not have produced a win but there is little doubt that it was an improved performance against a side who have been in good form this season and a good point to take from the game to get us back on the points earning front.

Cork certainly believes that the game on Saturday will extinguish some of the memories from the Watford performance "We had to work hard and do the things we didn't do against Watford. I think we did that," he said.

"I think a draw was probably a fair result in the end between two good teams.

"It was good, they had some chances, we had some chances and it was a fair result in the end," added Cork.

"Both teams will probably take that, but they're a good team and they showed their quality.

"It would have been nice to get a win to completely get over it.

"But a performance like that helps."
