Refwatch: Dale v Charlton Thursday, 16th Feb 2017 21:57 by TVOS Referee Scott Duncan is the man in the middle for Dale’s home game with Charlton Athletic on Saturday. Mr Duncan is in his fifth season on the league list and is one of the Select Group 2 set of referees who mainly take charge of matches in the Championship. We last saw Scott in November when he was in the middle for Dale’s final Checkatrade Trophy group game at Hartlepool, which ended in a 2-1 win for the visitors. His most recent league game involving Dale was the final home fixture of last season against Swindon. The match ended 2-2, but the visitors finished the afternoon with only nine men after two red cards in the second half. Coincidentally, when Mr Duncan first refereed at the Crown Oil Arena back in November 2012, he also sent-off two visiting players in Dale’s 2-1 win over Bristol Rovers! Other Dale games refereed by Scott are our 3-0 JPT win at Crewe in September 2014, a 1-1 home draw with Burton earlier that year and last season’s 2-2 draw at Bradford. Before midweek, when he was due to be in the middle at Sheffield Wednesday v Blackburn, Scott had refereed 23 games this term, showing 70 yellow cards and eight red.
