What a surprise! Dale have been given a massive boost with the news that Keith Hill has signed a new five year contract with the club.

Already we have made the greatest signing of the Summer in securing the services of Keith Hill for a further five years. We don't even use the word "arguably" when discussing Keith Hill as our greatest ever manager. It's just beyond debate now and in signing this deal, he will more than cement his place in Dale history.

There had been whispers of other clubs sniffing after him, with WIgan mentioned earlier in the week, but this is a deal that if he sees it through to the end will see him be Dale manager for a period close to fourteen years which will see him surpass Ted Goodier's 13 years as manager and become our longest serving manager.
