Refwatch: Wimbledon v Dale
Thursday, 28th Sep 2017 20:04 by TVOS

Dale’s team would be advised to be on their best behaviour during Saturday’s game at AFC Wimbledon.

Referee Chris Sarginson, who is in charge at the Cherry Red Records Stadium, sent-off THREE Dale players in two games last season.

In August, Callum Camps was dismissed for two yellow cards against The Dons when they travelled to the Crown Oil Arena.

And the following February, Mr Sarginson showed red cards to Joe Rafferty and Donal McDermott as Dale lost their discipline in the 3-1 defeat at Peterborough.

Chris has been a regular at our games since joining the league list for the 2008/09 campaign and Saturday will be his 12th Rochdale appointment.

The most notable was arguably the 3-1 FA Cup home defeat of Swindon in November 2015, while Mr Sarginson was also the man in the middle in December 2011 when Dale’s 0-0 home draw with Yeovil proved to be the last match in charge for Former Rochdale Manager Steve Eyre.

Chris’s full list of Dale games is:

Oct 08 Lincoln (a), D 1-1

Feb 09 Macclesfield (a), W 1-0

Aug 09 Sheffield Wed (a, LC), L 0-3

Feb 10 Bradford (h), L 1-3

Dec 11 Yeovil (h), D 0-0

Feb 13 Barnet (a), D 0-0

Nov 13 Chesterfield (a, JPT), L 0-3

Mar 15 Scunthorpe (h), W 3-1

Nov 15 Swindon (h, FAC), W 3-1

Aug 16 AFC Wimbledon (h), D 1-1

Feb 17 Peterborough (a), L 1-3

Before midweek, when he was due to referee MK Dons v Northampton, Chris has overseen nine games this season, showing 24 yellow cards and two red. Last weekend he was back at Peterborough for their 3-2 win over Wigan.
