Ian Henderson has extended his contract at the club by a further two years which will see him see out the rest of his professional career at the club.

The current Dale top scorer's contract was due to expire at the end of this season, but in a move that was surprising in its timing, he has committed his future to the club for a further two years keeping him at Spotland until the Summer of 2020.

Henderson originally signed for the club in the early weeks of Keith Hill's second spell at the club and since then he has been at the heart of everything that the club has done, and he was rightly elevated by Keith Hill has being "up there with Gary Jones" when the contract extension was announced.

He has 74 goals from his 200+ appearances in a Dale shirt.
