Refwatch: Bristol Rovers v Dale
Monday, 12th Feb 2018 20:56 by TVOS
Dale’s team would be advised to be on their best behaviour during Tuesday’s game at Bristol Rovers.
That’s because referee Chris Sarginson, who is in charge at the Memorial Stadium, sent-off THREE Dale players in two games last season.
In August 2016, Callum Camps was dismissed for two yellow cards against AFC Wimbledon when they travelled to the Crown Oil Arena.
And last February, Mr Sarginson showed red cards to Joe Rafferty and Donal McDermott as Dale lost their discipline in the 3-1 defeat at Peterborough.
Chris has been a regular at our games since joining the league list for the 2008/09 campaign and Tuesday will be his 13th Rochdale appointment.
His most recent appointment was the 0-0 draw at AFC Wimbledon earlier this season, while Mr Sarginson was also the man in the middle in December 2011 when Dale’s 0-0 home draw with Yeovil proved to be the last match in charge for Former Rochdale Manager Steve Eyre.
Chris’s full list of Dale games is:
Oct 08 Lincoln (a), D 1-1
Feb 09 Macclesfield (a), W 1-0
Aug 09 Sheffield Wed (a, LC), L 0-3
Feb 10 Bradford (h), L 1-3
Dec 11 Yeovil (h), D 0-0
Feb 13 Barnet (a), D 0-0
Nov 13 Chesterfield (a, JPT), L 0-3
Mar 15 Scunthorpe (h), W 3-1
Nov 15 Swindon (h, FAC), W 3-1
Aug 16 AFC Wimbledon (h), D 1-1
Feb 17 Peterborough (a), L 1-3
Sep 17 AFC Wimbledon (a), D 0-0
Before Saturday, when he was due to referee Newport v Forest Green, Chris had overseen 30 games this season, showing 100 yellow cards and five red.
