It was announced on Wednesday that former Dale winger Kieron Durkan has passed away aged 44.
Durkan enjoyed a decent career during his time, playing for the likes of Stockport, Macclesfield, Wrexham and Swansea as well as Dale.
He was signed by Steve Parkin in the Summer of 2001 making 36 appearances in total for the club, scoring one goal, and was part of the side that went top of the league early in the 2001-2 season.
Arguably, the highlight of his career came in his Wrexham days where he scored a goal which put the Dragons 1-0 up against Manchester United.
